Roland Penrose attended as a Delegate, spoke at the opening & lectured on 7 Aug. on 'African Influences on Picasso and Contemporary Art'. The lecture was later published in Congress proceedings. Consisted of the Congress(incl. lectures, African music, excursions) & associated exhibitions. Alfred Barr & Tristan Tzara also delegates. It appears from the Notebook in next Item that RP spoke on/ introduced Barr at the Congress
