The exhibition was Roland Penrose. Pintures, Dibuixos, Collages i Objectes, held at the Fundacio Joan Miró, Barcelona, from 26.2.-29.3. 1981. It was organised by the British Council, to follow on from RP's Arts Council touring one-man exhibition in 1980-81(see separate Subject for that). For Barcelona, a display of archive material on Surrealism in England in the 1930s from RP's collection was added, selected by RP & Anna Greutzner. RP visited Barcelona to help install the artworks, and for other events, some directly related to the exhibtiion, such as a lecture on him by Greutzner (papers on this are also in this Subject), and others not directly related- for the latter, and for overall context of the visit, see Subject:- Barcelona, Penrose visit 1981.
