Museo/ Museu Picasso, Barcelona - opening, 1963, & donation of Picasso's art to , 1970 (note: The Museo Picasso Barcelona opened 9.3. 1963 to a last minute withdrawal of official support from the Franco regime in Spain- it appears that Picasso's name was removed from its title. In 1970, however, with Picasso's sanction, his family in Barcelona donated a large amount of his early art to the Museum. A further donation was made in 1980 - see other Item for that).
