The Dean and Canons of Windsor ( D & C ) acquired a number of properties in Eton, Buckinghamshire, including a wharf and house near Eton bridge, a garden, a tenement, the Adam and Eve inn, and two cottages with gardens. These properties were mostly situated in Eton High Street and were in the possession of the D & C by the 16th century, although the Adam and Eve inn may have been acquired after 1600.
