Parish of St Mary the Virgin, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, in the diocese of Lincoln, and from 1877 in the diocese of St Albans.
The Dean and Canons of Windsor ( D & C ) acquired the rectory of St Mary the Virgin, Cheshunt, on 17 February 1479. In 1489-90, Lady Margaret, countess of Richmond, mother of Henry VII, brought a suit against the D & C concerning the patronage of the church.
