Part of the former bailiwick of Ogbourne. Demesne tithes of Aston Rowant were granted to the Abbey of Bec Herluin in Normandy by Miles Crispin before 1086. During the 13th century these were collected at Bledlow. The tithes were acquired by the Dean and Canons of Windsor in 1421.
