Formerly part of the bailiwick of Ogbourne. A portion of 18s in Denchworth, Berkshire was due to the Abbey of Bec Herluin in Normandy in the 13th century. This portion was included in the spiritualities of the late alien priory of Ogbourne, Wiltshire, granted to the Dean and Canons of Windsor by John, duke of Bedford in 1421.
