AdminBiogHistory Parish of St Swithin, Combe, Berkshire ( formerly Hampshire ), in the diocese of Oxford.

Formerly part of the bailiwick of Ogbourne. The manor of Combe was given to the Abbey of Bec Herluin in Normandy before 1100 by Emmelina, wife of Ernulf de Hesding. The church at Combe was appropriated to the abbey and was valued at 20 marks in 1291. These were acquired by the Dean and Canons of Windsor ( D & C ) in 1421.

The D & C held the rectory and parsonage. In 1879, the rectory was surrendered to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners by Anthony Martyn.
