The Loan In Record
The museum Loan In record is designed to help you to document loans as they enter the museum. A Loan In record may be used for individual objects or groups of material as required. The Loan In record type may be customised using the Admin program. In order to use Calm's full functionality when documenting loans (including making condition checks, linking to locations, and documenting conservation), a loan must be added to the catalogue once it has been created, using the same procedure as is used to add an entry record to the catalogue.
Creating a new record
New Loan records may be created from the Main Menu or from within the Entry/Accession database via the Record button in the side button strip. To create a new Loan record from the main menu:
- Click the Museum menu button
- Click the Object Entry and Loan In Menu button
- Click the New Loan In button, a new Loan record is created
