Standard HTML Reports
HTML reports use your default web browser (or the HTML browser provided with
Calm) to display data exported from your Calm records in a standardised format.
Examples include the HTML Catalogue report from the Catalogue database and the
Alphabetical and Hierarchical reports from the Poly-Hierarchical Authority File
databases. For further examples see the complete
List of Reports.
HTML reports are usually accessed via the side button strip in Calm, by clicking the
button followed by the button for the report you require. Some of the other HTML
reports, such as receipts for Loans and Productions, are produced automatically
when the Loan or Production is issued.
The report is produced as an .htm file which is created and stored in the Calm Output Folder (it is not recommended that you alter this file). When the report is run, your pre-selected browser opens and the file is displayed. If you wish to alter the browser, this may be done via the Set Report Viewer option in the Administration menu in Calm.
HTML Scissor
Calm incorporates HTML Scissor; a specialised HTML browser that is used to print and view reports. Calm HTML reports will automatically be displayed in HTML Scissor unless you have specified that Calm should use your default browser.
Where page breaks exist in your report you can use the Previous and Next arrow buttons in HTML Scissor to navigate between pages. To print a report in HTML Scissor, select Print Current Page or Print All Pages from the File drop down menu. To return to Calm, select Exit from the File drop down menu.
