Classify Records

You may need to classify records before you use Calm for the first time. This involves telling Calm which of the record types, or templates, should be available for each area of the application: Archive, Museum or Local Studies Library. This is necessary because different record types have different buttons and access to different functions. You can classify record types for the Entry/Accession database and the Catalogue database.

Please note: Record classifications are set on your PC only; if Calm is running over a network, people using other PCs may have different classifications set.

The Classify Records option is found on the Calm Administration Menu, available from the Calm Main Menu.

See the Record Classification page in the Administration section of this manual for more information.
