Locations and Movement
The Locations database is designed to record a hierarchical list of your storage locations. It may be used to break down your store/s into levels such as, for example, bays, shelves and boxes as appropriate and to create an individual record for every possible location.
Location records are linked to your Catalogue records to indicate which objects are stored in each location. Locations may be linked to Museum Catalogue records either one at a time or to whole hit lists of Catalogue records at once. The locations database may be used for stock checking, managing storage space and changing locations.
Museum catalogue records may have both a Normal Location and a Current (or temporary) Location linked to them. When an object is moved to a different location (changing the normal or current location on the museum record), Calm will automatically create a movement history record and store it in the Movement database.
