Folders Menu
The options on the Folders drop down menu allow you to redefine the location of some significant folders in Calm without having to edit the registry manually.
Application: The location of your Calm Application
Commands: The location of the files which run Calm
Image Files: The location of the Images used within Calm. If you wish to
link images to your Calm records using the
Thumbnail or
Image fields, you
must store them in the location specified here
Document Files: The location of the document, sound and other files used
within Calm. If you wish to link Word documents, sound files or video clips to
your Calm records using the Document Field, you must store them in the
location specified here
Here is a
recorded demonstration showing how to change a default folder, in this
example the image files folder. Please note

For reference, the steps shown in the demonstration are detailed below:
- Run the Admin program
- First, open a database. Click on the File drop-down menu, then Open. Click on any database in the list shown, then click OK.
- Click on the Folders drop-down menu, then Image files...
- A dialogue box appears.
- Enter the path for the new default image folder and press OK.
If you wish to store images or documents in more than one location you can specify more than one folder for them. You must type in the whole path to each folder, separated by a semi-colon.
