The Admin Program

Admin is a separate utility which is installed along with your Calm system. It is used to customise the Record Types and Fields in your Calm databases and also to perform some administrative actions such as re-indexing your Calm databases.

The Admin program is accessed separately from Calm by password only and should be used by the person/s designated as your in-house Calm administrator/s. This will normally be a senior member of your Calm team rather than a member of your IT department. This section of the online manual gives details of the system administration options available to the administrator using the Admin utility.

The settings in the Admin program are likely to be changed only occasionally. Most Admin settings are specific to individual databases and you may only open one database at a time in Admin, for example Fields and Record Types are customised one database at a time.

Please Note: You must CLOSE all Axiell applications, such as Calm, Calmview (and its IIS session), DServe or OPAC programs before you use the Admin program.
