Administration & Security

The options in the Administration and Security section of this guide are those which will normally be used by the Administrator of your Calm network. This will usually be a member of your Calm team rather than a member of your IT department.

The Administration options in Calm allow you to change settings locally on individual PCs using the Calm Administration Menu or globally for everyone on your Calm network using the Admin program.

The security section of the Admin program allows the administrator to set up a security system to protect the data being held in Calm; by assigning permissions for all users on your Calm network which allow them different levels of access to the databases.

It is advisable that you restrict access to the Admin program, perhaps to one team member only. Access to these functions is protected by passwords which are available from the Calm Helpdesk and which will be supplied only to your designated Calm Administrator.

It is possible for any user with the appropriate permissions to access the Calm Administration menu and alter settings which will affect his or her own PC only.
