Printing records

The printing options in Calm enable you to print the current record, all records in the database, all records in the hit list, or a subset of the hit list. When you print records in Calm the fields will automatically appear in the order in which they are shown on your records.

Printing a single record

To print one record:

Make sure that the current record on the screen is the one you wish to print, or move to the required record

Select Print from the File drop down menu

Select Screen, the Print Records dialogue box opens, as below

Select the Current radio button and click OK

Printing all records in a database

Select Print from the File drop down menu

Select Screen, the Print Records dialogue box opens

Select the All radio button and click OK

Please note: printing all records may take a long time depending on how many records are in the database.

Printing the hit list

Search for the hit list of records you wish to print, the record counter in the tool bar shows how many records are in the current hit list

Select Print from the File drop down menu

Select Screen, the Print Records dialogue box opens

Select the Hit list radio button and click OK

Please note: it is possible to print a range of records from your hit list by selecting the Hit list range radio button and completing the From and To sections in the Print records dialogue box. You can use the Hit list overview facility to browse all the records in the current hit list. The Hit list range option prints out consecutive records only; sorting the hit list appropriately before printing may make it easier to select a suitable range.

Print Settings

The following tabs in the Print records dialogue box allow you to change print settings:

Printer: shows the current printer setup

Format margins: contains header and footer text as well as current margins

Options: enables you to print multiple records on a page, print field names and print empty fields
