Minimum Requirements

These are the minimum requirements for each of the three machines/environments involved in installing Calmview and building your Calmview website.

Please note: These setups are needed regardless of whether you are installing Calmview yourselves or you are preparing for Axiell to install for you.

For further explanation of the three machines described below, please see the 'Introduction to Installation' page.

Live Calm Server

  • The live server needs to be running version 8 or above of Calm. Ideally, version 9.0.1 or above to obtain the best search results. Please note: Document ordering in CalmView requires version 9.2 of Calm onwards.

Development Environment

  • The development environment needs to have one of the following operating systems: Windows XP Pro or Windows 7 Pro.
     
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services manager (IIS) 6 or above.
     
  • .net 3.5 framework.
     
  • Internet Explorer 7 or above.
     
  • You will need full administrator rights to this machine, so you can edit the contents of the Calm and Calmview files that will be stored here.

Public-facing Server

  • The public-facing server needs to have one of the following operating systems: Windows 2003 Server (32 bit) or Windows 2008 Server.
     
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services manager (IIS) 6 or above. (When using IIS7 it is essential to load the IIS6 compatible infrastructure.)
     
  • .net 3.5 framework.
