Geographic Fields
Geographic fields are intended for use in Axiell Collections. While they can be added to records and used to hold data in the Calm desktop application, they are functionally no different than text fields there.
In Axiell Collections, a record with data in a geographic field will be plotted on a map in the spot indicated in the geographic field. To add a location to a Geolocation field, enter data as you would in Google Maps (that is, you can enter the name of a place, such as Windsor or Windsor Castle, a specific address such as 12 Castle Hill, Windsor SL4 1NJ, or a set of coordinates such as 51.483890, -0.604422). For more information about using the Geographical Map View, see the Axiell Collections documentation.
In default Calm systems, the only geographic field is called 'Geolocation' and it is available in the Catalogue and Places databases.
