Linking a Lender, Owner or Depositor to a Loan In Record

It is possible to link a record in the depositors database to a LoansIn record. Depositor records may be linked as Lenders, Owners or Depositors. Linking a depositor record to a LoansIn record is done with the LoansIn record you want to link as the current record. The following instructions allow you to create a relational link between the current LoansIn record and a record in the Depositors database.

  • Click on the Lender button in the side button strip

  • The Select Lender dialogue box appears

    • Select Lender dialogue box has search fields of Contact, Depositor, Any text field and Record type with Find, Options and Cancel buttons.

  • Search for the relevant Lender, you may wish to search by Depositor name, in which case you need to ensure that you are typing your search criteria into the Depositor field in the search dialogue box.
    If the full text appears as you start typing; click on it to add it to the search dialogue box.

  • Click Find.

  • When one record is found a dialogue box asks if this is the correct record, click Yes to link the record.
    If more than one record is found you are asked to click on the appropriate record in an overview, and click OK. You will then be asked to confirm that this is the correct record; click Yes if it is or No to search again.

  • You are then returned to your LoansIn record

  • Click on the Lender tab at the top of the record to see the Lender record in the depositor database

  • Click on < Back in the side button strip to return to the LoansIn record

Only one lender may be added to each record.

Changing the link to a Lender

If you wish to change the linked record for a different lender, repeat the process as above to select a different record to link to your Loan In record. The existing link will be changed for one to the new lender record.

Linking an Owner or a Depositor to a LoansIn Record

To link an owner or depositor to a LoansIn record, click the Owner or Depositor buttons in the side button strip and repeat the process as for linking a Lender, above.
