Searching and the Overview facility

There are various ways in which you can search the Calm databases, you can perform both simple and advanced searches, search within specific fields and employ a variety of searching options, including Boolean searching. The search techniques outlined here apply to all the databases within Calm.

There are two types of search dialogue box available in Calm: the Query by Form (a customisable search dialogue box with a list of fields on which you can search) and the Command Line search (a box in which you can type search commands in search command syntax).

Once you have searched for and found a hit list of records you can view, refine and sort your search results using the Overview facility.
