Calm supports a separate thesaurus, or subject index. Data can be amended or added by selecting Subjects on the Authorities Menu from the main menu. The thesaurus contains terms created by you and indicates any hierarchical levels and relationships that exist between them (by use of a tree structure).

The thesaurus is a sophisticated database developed according to international standards for thesaurus construction. It may look complex, but once you understand the principles behind it and create a few test records you will find it an extremely powerful tool.
